today it snowed?? we sure ain't in Texas anymore!

but truly today was one of the coldest days I've ever experienced. I sort of know how to dress for the cold, so my top half was pretty warm. my legs were saved by fleece leggings I bought at Old Navy circa 2013, but there's not much you can do for your feet when you're wearing cowboy boots. not to be dramatic, but I was shocked I made it to the end of the day with all my fingers and toes still intact.

still, even though it was way too cold to be outside, it was so fun to watch the horses kick up the snow as they ran in. the boys were very frisky this morning & definitely kicked up quite a bit of snow on their way in.

I have mad respect for the girls who gathered today. they headed out about 45 minutes before the rest of us & chased the herd in through the snow (while it was still snowing! brr) & absolutely killed it - they didn't miss a single boy.

while they were out braving the elements, the rest of us were sitting around like bumps on a log just trying to stay warm (maybe also watching Ice Age & playing a fireplace video on YouTube...). this type of morning is always my favorite - when we're all sitting around laughing at each other & having fun, no guests in sight, just enjoying each other's company.

definitely the best part of today was the view! while I'm not someone who enjoys being cold for days at a time, I can for sure appreciate how beautiful Wyoming is covered in snow.
